Founder of Para Health Massage

My name is Dan, and I’ve been happily married since 2009. My wife and I are raising two amazing kids—our daughter, born in 2010, and our son, born in 2013. Family, service, and healing are the core values that shape everything I do.

I’m a medically retired U.S. Army veteran who experienced firsthand the physical and emotional toll that life—and service—can take on the body. It was through my own recovery that I discovered the powerful, restorative effects of deep tissue massage. That experience transformed my life and gave me a new mission: to help others heal through intentional, therapeutic touch.

Since March 2022, I’ve been a practicing Buddhist. For a time, I led an English-speaking meditation group at Quan Am Temple in Mason, until growing responsibilities with Para Health Massage required my full attention. That practice continues to inform my values—mindfulness, compassion, and presence—in everything I do, including how I approach healing work.

At Para Health Massage, I operate with the belief that our bodies and minds are instruments—not for conflict, but for connection, clarity, and contribution. With proper care, they help us live with purpose and vitality. I advocate for a lifestyle rooted in a healthy diet, consistent and vigorous movement, mindfulness, and regular massage therapy.

Massage isn’t just about relaxation. When practiced with skill and intention, it’s a powerful tool for restoring balance—physically, emotionally, and mentally.
